The Mission Robotic Vehicle (MRV) is Northrop Grumman's satellite servicing robot - a spacecraft built to extend the lives of aging satellites in orbit. It launched this July on a SpaceX Falcon 9 and is now climbing toward geostationary orbit, 22,300 miles (36,000 km) up. In 2027, the MRV will bolt one pod onto the Optus satellite, adding 6 years of life; Luxembourg's SES is in line next.
